Did your oppinion of yourself change when you became successful?
"I suppose so. Whenever a band first starts getting any sort of attention,
you do get sort of...lifted off on this whirlwind of excitement. You play around with your
ego."
Do you think of yourself as a hunky indie pin-up? Does it affect your daily
life?
"Not in the slightest. It doesn't enter my reality. It means that a small
number of people are obsessed with you, but everyone else doesn't know who you are, which
is fine. It's not like being the Queen or anything like that, you know."
Is it a burden being fancied by lots of young adolescents? Does it inhibit
creativity?
"Not really, no. It just isn't anything, you just don't think of yourself
like that at all."
